Gung Hay Fat Choy!

Gung Hay Fat Choy

On behalf of the ACICEC, I would like to wish you good wealth and prospect in the year of the Ram, Lunar Year 4713.

This is my second year as president of the ACICEC. It has been an honor to serve as president for such a prestigious organizations. I would like to thank the members of the Board of Directors for their continued support.

During 2014, we organized a fundraising event for the San Francisco Police Foundation in March. On April 31st, we escorted a California public official on her trip to Guangdong and Jiangxi Provinces of China. In July, we sponsored an Art Exhibition in the California State Building in San Francisco to establish a platform for the American & Chinese cultural exchange program. In October, we celebrated the Chinese National Day in San Francisco.

We are gratified to have so many young people joining our organization. They energize us with their energy and enthusiasm. We used the American Chinese Cultural Exchange & Trading Association as a foundation and built on it and created a new organization renamed American and Chinese International Cultural Exchange Council. This non-profit organization will strengthen the friendship between America and China promote cultural exchange and economic cooperation between these two great countries. I hope that you will continue to support us.

For all of our events, we were fortunate to have the support of business, volunteers and community organization. It was the support of community leaders, and the hard work of officials and members and many volunteers that made all of our events successful.

All of these events would not be possible without the support of the ACICEC Board of Directors, officials and members. I am especially grateful for our sponsors, city officers dedicated volunteers and many community organizations that have made these events a major success over the years.

Happy New Year!
Teresa Lai
CEO of American and Chinese International Cultural Exchange Council
